Preparation

  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled.
  5. Mix the remaining sugar with ground cinnamon for the filling.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Roll tightly into a log and slice into 12 pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Drizzle icing over warm rolls before serving.
