Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, mix the diced Granny Smith apples with the brown sugar and cinnamon until well-coated. Set aside.
- Blend the granulated sugar and unsalted butter in a stand mixer on medium speed for about 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add each large egg one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Pour in the whole milk and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and kosher salt, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Gently fold in about ¾ of the apple mixture.
- Pour the batter into a prepared loaf pan and smooth it out. Spoon the reserved apple mixture on top.
- Bake for 65-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Drizzle the warm bread with caramel sauce.
