How to Make Buttered Noodles
- Bring a large pot of salted boiling water to a rolling boil. Add 8 oz of pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Don’t forget to reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining!
- Return the drained pasta to the warm pot. Add 4 tbsp unsalted butter. Stir gently until the butter melts and coats the noodles evenly, creating a glossy finish.
- Sprinkle in 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper. Mix everything together well, ensuring every strand of pasta is flavorful and seasoned just right.
- Stir in 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, blending until it melts into the buttery goodness.
- If desired, sprinkle fresh herbs on top for added flavor and color. Serve immediately while hot for the best experience.
