  • 2 lbs potatoes peel and cube them
  • 1 tsp salt adjust to taste
For the Cheese Mixture
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper adjust based on preference
Optional Topping
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs use panko for extra crunch

How to Make Cheesy Potatoes
  1. Peel and cube the potatoes, then rinse them under cold water to remove excess starch.
  2. Boil the cubed potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 10-15 minutes. Drain well afterward.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  4. Gently fold in the drained potatoes and half of the shredded cheddar cheese until well-coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheese and optional breadcrumbs. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
