Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish.
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and brown sugar until frothy.
- Layer half of the cubed bread in the baking dish and pour half of the custard mixture over it.
- Add toppings if desired, layer the remaining bread cubes, and pour the rest of the custard mixture on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
- Cool slightly before slicing into squares and serve warm.
