Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the sugar and butter using an electric mixer on medium speed for about 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the whole milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
  6. Divide your batter into two bowls; one will remain plain and the other with cocoa powder mixed in. Spoon alternating dollops of each batter into the prepared pan, then swirl with a knife.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
